AirMedia is a device that allows you to connect to the projection and audio systems in a classroom wirelessly, eleminating the need for cables and adapters. Follow these instructions to install the required software and connect your device to the AirMedia in the classroom.
You must be connected to eduroam (preferred) or DavidsonSecure to use this wireless screen share program; the AirMedia application will not work if you are connected to the DavidsonGuest network.

AirMedia works with iOS and Android devices, as well computers running MacOS or Windows OS (MacOS 10.13 and higher; Windows 10).

Apple/MacOS laptops:
- Download and install the Crestron AirMedia Application to your computer using this link:
AirMedia2 for Mac
- Ensure the AV system in the room is on (the System On button will be lit blue to let you know it is on).
- Select the AirMedia Input button. The button should be highlighted with a blue light when selected.
- You should see the AirMedia Splash page on the projection screen. On the bottom left of the AirMedia Splash page, there is an IP address. It should look something like this:

Open a web browser (like Safari or Google Chrome) and in the browser URL field(the place you would enter a web address), type in the IP address you see on the rooms AirMedia splash page. You should be directed to a page in your browser that looks like this:
Click the "Start Presenting" link on the page.
- That should take you to this page:
Click "Open Crestron AirMedia" to launch the Crestron AirMedia Application*.
*Note: if you check the "Always open these types of links in the associated app" box, the Crestron AirMedia app will automatically open for you the next time you connect to the AirMedia using these steps.
- The AirMedia Application will open to this:
- Following the AirPlay Guidance instructions, Click the AirPlay Menu button () on the top right of your computer. Find the receiver IP name and click on it.
- You will be prompted to enter the AirMedia code in a window similar to this:
The code will be displayed in the bottom left corner (same place where the IP address was found in Step 3) on the AirMedia Splash Page, projecting on the screen in the classroom. Type the code, then press "OK"
This will start sharing your computer screen with the AirMedia device in the room. Sound should also play thru the rooms speaker system as well.
- When you are done and ready to disconnect, Go back to the AirPlay Menu Button () and select "Turn Airplay Off"
This will disconnect you from the AirMedia Device in the room.
Windows Laptops:
- Download and install the Crestron AirMedia Application to your computer using this link:

- Ensure the AV system in the room is on (the System On button will be lit blue to let you know it is on).
- Select the AirMedia Input button. The button should be highlighted with a blue light when selected.
- You should see the AirMedia Splash page on the projection screen. On the bottom left of the AirMedia Splash page, there is an IP address. It should look something like this:

Open a web browser (like Firefox or Google Chrome) and in the browser URL field(the place you would enter a web address), type in the IP address you see on the rooms AirMedia splash page. You should be directed to a page in your browser that looks like this:
Click the "Start Presenting" link on the page.

Click "Open Crestron AirMedia" to launch the Crestron AirMedia Application*.

The code will be displayed in the bottom left corner (same place where the IP address was found in Step 3) on the AirMedia Splash Page, projecting on the screen in the classroom. Type the code, then press "OK"
This will start sharing your computer screen with the AirMedia device in the room. Sound should also play thru the rooms speaker system as well. You can verify this as the projector screen should be showing your desktop content, and the Crestron AirMedia app on your computer should show this:
- When you are done and ready to disconnect, click the "Stop" button on the Crestron AirMedia app. This should stop the computer from projecting content to the screen, as well as say "Stopped" on the Crestron AirMedia app:
If you are finished with the Crestron AirMedia application, select "Connections" and then click "Exit" to close the program.
For iOS devices such as iPads and iPhones:
- Download the Crestron AirMedia app from the App Store to your device (this is a free application)
- Ensure the AV system in the room is on (the System On button will be lit blue to let you know it is on).
- Select the AirMedia Input button. The button should be highlighted with a blue light when selected.
- You should see the AirMedia Splash page on the projection screen. On the bottom left of the AirMedia Splash page, there is an IP address. It should look something like this:

On your device, launch the Crestron AirMedia app. In the top "URL" field, enter the IP address shown in the room - you do not have to include the "http://", just the numbers and periods. after you enter the IP numbers, press "Present with AirMedia®"
If the initial connection is successful, you will get a message that says this:
Press OK to continue.
- Open the Control Center on your iOS device*.
*Depending on the make and model, this will either be by swiping up from the bottom of your screen, or by swiping down from the top right corner of your device.
Access the Screen Mirroring menu
Select the IP address of the AirMedia device
- You will be prompted to enter the AirMedia code. The code will be displayed in the bottom left corner (same place where the IP address was found in Step 4) on the AirMedia Splash Page, projecting on the screen in the classroom. Type the code, then press "OK".
- When you are finished using the Airmedia device and are ready to disconnect, access the Control Center on your device, Select the Airmedia device you are connected to (where the "screen mirroring" option was when you first connected) and choose "Stop Mirroring".
For Android devices:
